Enjoy the nature and vastness of this beautiful municipality while walking, cycling or sailing. Discover the Grain Republic landscape with its beautiful farms and visit the Grain Republic shop where locally produced products can be made, tasted and purchased. Or simply relax in the only spring bath, Fontana, in the Netherlands.
Walking / Cycling
There are various walking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity of the mini campsite. Don't cycle with you, no problem, we have rental bicycles that will take you through the beautiful landscape with a little help.
Watching seals
From spring to autumn, the seal viewing wall is set up on the sea wall in Termunten at the Punt van Reide. A unique opportunity to spot the seals and their pups in their natural environment without disturbing them! A unique location in the Netherlands that you can visit yourself.

Swimming
In the summer you can swim outside at the Oldambtmeer. There are two sandy beaches with safe swimming areas. In the North there is a beach at Midwolda and Strand Zuid on the south side.

You can also swim in the Beertster Plas. There are no facilities here, but the water is clean and you can play in the shelter or lie in the sun on the beach.

There are also several swimming pools, outdoor/indoor, nearby.
With Children
Enjoy a swim in one of the many swimming facilities in the area, a visit to the Lego museum, Wildlands animal park in Emmen, just across the border from Tier und Freizeitpark Thule, there is plenty to do and experience.
